358 km, on Transtaiga James Bay! The location was carefully chosen and the first installations took place on the edge of the La Grande River, between taiga and tundra in northern Quebec that it offers immense and imposing sites to take your breath away.

First open only for hunting caribou winter, the lodge has grown and will remain in operation throughout the year. 60 people can stay in the building and eight cottages were built near the site. A well equipped kitchen and a fuel service can accommodate passersby in this sparsely populated region.

Relying on its dynamic team, sparing neither effort nor investments, the Mirage Outfitter is an important tourist drawing card in the Nord-du-Québec. The premises are improved and expanded. Luxury motels, spas and sauna, conference room... make Mirage Outfitter most sought in the far north.

An airplane runway has been approved and a floatplane base is being set up. More than 3,000 clients are welcomed every winter. The outfitting acquires its renown thanks to its infrastructures as well as the services offered by its qualified team.

Page d'histoire - 2010

After a two-year break, Luc and his wife Marie-Anne are taking back the outfitting operations into their own hands. Open all-year long, 7 days a week, Mirage diversifies its operations and becomes a genuine relay with the far north. They also developed a harmonious relationship with the aboriginal people of the region. Thus, Mirage can take its place in the huge territory of the James Bay.
